What You’ll Need For The Spicy Cauliflower Recipe
- cauliflower
- olive oil
- lemon juice
- oregano
- garlic
- crushed red pepper
- paprika
- salt and pepper
How To Make The Spicy Cauliflower Recipe
Chop the cauliflower into bite-sized pieces. I actually sliced the cauliflower and imagined it was bread. So, the thickness of sliced bread / or my finger was what I was going for (with those fingers that witch from Hensel and Gretel wouldn’t let me stay even a minute in the cage). A bit thinner as you can see in the image. You can also just separate the cauliflower into bite-sized florets. Whichever shape you like.
Once you’ve divided and conquered the cauliflower, add the pieces to a large bowl, then throw in the spices, lemon juice, garlic and olive oil. Use utensils or your hands (I did that, don’t touch your eyes or nose) to mix the spices with the cauliflower until every single piece of the vegetable is completely coated.
Add the spiced cauliflower to a pan with some olive oil at medium-high and cover with a lid for about 2-3 mins. Stir, flipping the one or the other floret, as you can. Cover for 2 more mins.
Then remove the lid and finish cooking for 2 more minutes, flipping the pieces and stirring occasionally.
You’re done!
How To Serve
Plate the cauliflower and sprinkle fresh herbs on top. I chose fresh oregano, any herb will work though. Enjoy with tzatziki, this garlic sauce or avocado sauce, have as a side or add to salads.
I added it to a salad with cabbage the first day, then a lettuce and avocado salad the next. The roasted cauliflower really added that extra something to the salads!
